Dr. Doug Kent
Dr. Warren Douglas Kent Jr. was born and raised in the Amite area. After graduating from Amite High School, Dr. Kent studied pre-vet medicine at Louisiana State University before leaving to attend Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Kent graduated from veterinary school in 1961 with his doctoral degree and then served in the United States Air Force. After completing his tour of duty, Dr. Kent returned to Amite to establish Kent Veterinary Clinic in 1965.
Dr. Drew Doucet
Dr. Drew Doucet grew up in Opelousas, Louisiana and graduated from Amy Bradford Ware Academy. After studying pre-veterinary medicine at LSU Eunice, Dr. Doucet moved to Baton Rouge to attend LSU School of Veterinary Medicine . Following graduation in 1980, Dr. Doucet came to Amite to practice medicine with Dr. Kent.

Practice Manager
Sue worked for Dr. John Melancon at Airline Park Animal Clinic in Metairie, La from 1978 to May 1982. Sue and her husband moved to Hammond, La in 1982 and she started working at Kent Veterinary Clinic. She and her husband Frank have two children, Frank, and Melissa as well as Hallie her Maltese. Sue is from New Sarpy, La and she graduated from Destrehan High School. She is a Practice Manager for Kent Veterinary Clinic going on 41 years now.
LeeAnne B.
Practice Manager
LeeAnne Towle Bracy is an alumnus of Saint Thomas Aquinas Regional Catholic High School in Hammond, La. She attended Southeastern Louisiana University and Northshore Technical Community College. While in the Veterinary Technician Program, LeeAnne received a Technical Competency Area (TCA), Certificate of Technical Studies (CTS), and Associate of Applied Science (AAS). She is a member of Our Lady of Pompeii Catholic Church in Tickfaw, La. She has been a Veterinary Technician/ Practice Manager at Kent Veterinary Clinic for over ten years. She is happily married to Matthew Bracy, and they have four amazing dogs Boots Marie, Jake, Sir Sherlock, Bruce and two awesome cats Pepper and Chili.
Taylor G.
Taylor Golden is from Greensburg Louisiana and has always had passion for animals. She grew up bringing her animals to our clinic, and has been a faithful employee, for over three years. Taylor is currently pursuing her veterinary technician degree, at Northshore Technical Community College, and is set to graduate in fall of 2024. We hope everyone that comes in gets the opportunity to meet, and see what a great care giver, and employee she is.
